A long time ago, I went to college. I had the opportunity to study engineering, and learned quite a bit. As time went on, I found that I needed to branch out into something new. I’ve gone back to school to become an architect. One of the big things they’ve been pushing at school is usgbc leed. They keep telling us that it is important that we look into this because it is the wave of the future. Luckily, they also gave us some leed classes to take to really get a firm understanding of LEED.
There are courses on designing new structures, and some on converting current structures to leed existing buildings. I’m not entirely sure I understand everything just yet, but I believe my advisors know what they are doing and can help make sure that I am making a good career move. I mean, my engineering advisors weren’t this good so that has to say something. It’s hard to believe that it has been almost ten years since I’ve graduated. I’m sure glad that my first undergrad is over because it was long and a bit arduous. I took a lot from it though, so I think things will be okay.

Since I was about five years old, I have loved fashion and anything having to do with clothing. I can remember constantly playing dress up and as soon as I was old enough I was making and designing my own clothes. So of course when it came time to decide what I wanted to do after high school, I chose to apply to a fashion design school. I was only going to apply to the fashion school, but my guidance counselor wanted me to have a second choice and she suggested I look into schools that offer similar courses.
I found an art school close by that offered not only traditional art courses, but also courses in clothing design and architecture, which my guidance counselor thought would be a great start in case I didn’t get into the fashion design school right away.
Well, I took her advice and ended up being accepted to both schools! Even though I have always dreamed of designing my own line of clothing, I want to weigh my decision and make the right one for me. Now I have to decide which school I want to go to, because the idea of the art school has kind of grown on me.

There are approximately 18,000 golf courses in the US, and each one of them needs professionally trained staff. If you love to play golf, you might consider going to golf course management schools to get the training you need for certification in working in this area. Professional golf careers can be very rewarding, and are anything but routine. The game of golf is endlessly fascinating and if it is your first love and you’re looking for a way to devote your life to doing something that fascinates and entertains you, a career as a golf professional might be something you will love on a daily basis.
Really enjoying what you’re doing all day long helps the day go by so much faster, and having a career that combines the technical side of the golf course with the softer side of working with fellow golfers can be very rewarding. Most people who are playing golf are having a great time and unless they’re playing badly, they are really enjoying themselves. Golf course management training can be part of an ongoing education, or it can be completed in two or four years at accredited schools. If it seems like something you’d like to do for a living, check it out.
